It says 7-10 business days so the demand for these must be pretty high still.

My order says it ships the 17th and delivers the 18th. You know that is bs since there is no such thing as overnight shipping from Shanghai.

Has anyone else got theirs faster than the 7-10?

Because by my count, that is the 11th day since I ordered yesterday.

Also people with December builds - are there still screen problems like the flicker, backlight, etc? Or are these fixed on the newer builds?

I read over in the waiting thread that they have changed the packing foam in the newer boxes (probably because of the reported cracked screens.

Actually they do ship overnight from China. Mine is shipping overnight once it is ready.

Better check again.

It is impossible to ship overnight from China to the US.

It literally takes almost a full day to get to the hub in anchorage and another to your destination.

So two day is best case. Ring them and ask again they will tell you the truth.

I don't know why their sales agents always promise next day. I was promised the same thing and when I asked why it took 4 days from Shanghai to California, they took 100 off my order and apologized for the misinformation.

No such thing as overnight in the states. At least that's what I was told. I got 2day. It ships exactly ten business days from the day I bought it. And since that was a Friday, that's 2 weeks. I should get it the next tuesday. Mine is an i5 though.

Hopefully they've fixed the packing.

I'm thinking about buying A best buy laptop to use for the next 10 days and then returning it. (no computer right now, just phone)

Have ordered an i5 on 01/12 and they received my money on 03/12.

My order says that it will be shipped on the 17th and it will be delivered on 21/12.

At first I also thought that there was something incorrect but on the Belgian store they state thinks like "shipping time" and "business days". So in my case technically the information is correct.

While crossing the date line you "gain" a day. So if your item ships 12/8 from China, that would be 12/7 in NA. It will arrive 12/9 at your door in NA if you got next day shipping. So you can argue symantics about whether or not that is next day shipping or two day shipping.

I have never gotten anything even 2 day

It is always 3 day to the states. Never seen 2 day even

it said it would ship in 3-5 working days so today was the last day it should have shipped on, estimated earliest delivery 11th

When I ordered my BTO 15'' MBP back in August, it was a 2day ship. Shipped on the 11th NA time and arrived on the 13th NA time.

I hate being the "I told you so" type person. However I wanted to clear up any misinformation/understanding that you had. My i7 shipped 12/7 and was delivered 12/8.

Wow - ok all the planets aligned for that to happen.

You just got lucky,

Every order I have ever ordered from Apple took at least 3 days from ship date.

I bet everyone else has the same experience. It usually sits in Alaska for a day then to the hub the to customer for delivery.

So it is 3 stops. You got lucky that they all happened within that time period. This almost never happens.

Jim, this happened because it was expedited priority and sent next day. Normal shipping does take ~3 days. Do you get it now? This is next day priority which is different than next day. Ok? :D

I was told the first time that I ordered that I couldn't do overnight. I just stuck with the normal 3 day. Then when my order got cancelled for some reason I ordered again and asked that they give me overnight for the inconvenience. They told me that overnight from china was impossible but gave me 2day. I know you can overnight anywhere in the world. They just wouldn't let me do it. Not even pay for it! Maybe because it's actually shipping in 11 days and not 10.

And didn't you have to gothrough a couple macs to get a working one? Like 3?at that point Steve should have delivered it himself.

I also wanted to mention that I live in IL so that may make a difference in cost. I'm two hours from stl. But honestly I think that they could overnight it. Somethings a little fishy.

Yes you are correct, this i7 will now be my 4th quad core in the past ~3-4 weeks. So far everything looks and works great. No dead pixels, Segate drive is dead silent so far (knock on wood), no yellowing that I can notice so far, no cracked glass...etc. I really appreciated that Apple took care of me and expedited everything for me for free and did a complimentary upgrade to the i7.

Not sure why they would say they could send yours next day? That is very strange. Mine flew into Indianapolis. If you are 2hrs from St. Louis, you are probably even closer to Indianapolis than I am since it is about 4.5hrs from me. Do you live close to a major city by any chance? St. Louis is a fairly large hub for FedEx, so that might help things getting here a bit quicker vs. in a smaller town/in a rural part of the state. Just a thought.

I am on the fastest shipping method according to apple, not the standard.

It still always takes 3 days for me.

I have ordered 2 Imacs, and a couple MBPs and they always took 3 days with expedited shipping.

I have an estimated ship date of the 17th with a delivery date of the 18th.

I called Apple and they said unless it gets out earlier, I would most likely have delivery on Monday, the 21st.

So According to Apple, if it ships on the 17th I will most likely have a delivery date on the 21st.

This blows. I ordered on the 3rd and will receive it on the 21st. That is 19 days later. Pretty bad.
