Apple Remote

Shipped 3/3/09
BNDL WIRELESS KEYBOARD & MOUSE-USA

I ordered one on Tuesday afternoon and my web order now says "prepared for shipment". I ordered a base unit with 2GB of RAM and a remote. I'm in Canada.

Mine is still in the "Not Yet Shipped" state. My original order was placed at 11am on 3/3.

Mine finally shipped this morning at 4:45am pst. Estimated delivery is Monday 03/09/09 to California. I was hoping to have it by this Friday so that I have the whole weekend to play around with it. It's my first MAC and I'm hoping it's worth the wait. I'm so anxious to receive it and hook it up to my 72" tv. I bought the cables from monoprice for mini-dvi to hdmi.

Mar 5, 2009 7:24 PM Picked up SHENZHEN CN Package received after FedEx cutoff
Mar 5, 2009 7:12 PM Left FedEx origin facility SHENZHEN CN

Mar 5, 2009 3:42 PM Shipment information sent to FedEx

Mine is now in the "Prepared for Shipment" phase. Yay, the wheels and cogs are in motion!

The Fedex tracking number of my just-shipped mini says mine is shipping from ShenZhen China, so it should make it to my doorstep Monday or Tuesday.

First post here so take it easy...

Mine shows shipped from Shenzhen with a Shipment exception. What exactly does this mean? Also, since I live in Anchorage, what are the odds that the package will get off the plane without having to go all the way to Tennessee? Since I know that most if not all of FedEx's stuff goes through Anchorage when going from Asia to NA. Would be nice to have this early next week and not at the end of the week, seeing as I purchased it first thing Tuesday morning (no Mac stores in Alaska yet... :apple: )

Could mini's work as a primary computer or are they hobby machines?

Depends what you do with your "primary computer"...however, the MacMini is not an underpowered machine. It will handle general computing quite well.

My Fedex tracking shows that mine arrived in Anchorage about 20 minutes ago to await processing through customs. If the Fedex customer counter at ANK is still open when the shipments clear customs, then you could probably convince someone there to pull yours and allow you to pick it up then.

Yea, mine showed up in Anchorage at 12:30 local time. Still here showing Int'l shipment release. I guess I could try to call them, but I'm hoping they are smart enough to pull it off, as I doubt I'm the only one who ordered from Alaska.

I ordered a CTO MacMini (base model 120GB/1GB RAM but with 2.26GHz processor) from Apple's online store on Mar 5th. Within a few hours I was notified that FedEx had picked it up in SHENZHEN CN... coming to me in Washington State, USA. It arrived in Anchorage today with delivery expected by 10:30 AM on Tuesday Mar 10th.

Looks like the base models with upgraded 2.26GHz processor are in stock and ready to ship when ordered.

(Yes, I'm going to drop in 4GB or RAM and a Hitachi 7200RPM/320GB HDD.)
