I own the domain name applekeynote.com - will Apple buy it?

I was browsing through expired domains about this time last year and saw applekeynote.com was available for the first time since 1997, so I bought it.

I tried contacting Apple through their website then, but didn't receive a reply, maybe they were hoping that I would let it expire, but I'm going to keep it as it only costs me a few £ a year to hold on to..

Does anyone have any experience with this that could help me?

Probably not.

Keynote is offered for free with new devices so it's not like they're trying to market it extensively and/or using it as a money making product.

I don't think they particularly care to be honest.

I doubt they care too much. The only way they'll do anything is if you try to pass it off as an official apple site, in which case they are more likely to sue you over it than buy it from you.

Probably because they don't care about it. Did apple ever own this? From my digging they didn't seem too, though I didn't really spend a lot of time searching

Best case scenario - you keep the domain stagnant and don't post any content and Apple leaves it/you alone.

Worst case scenario - you start posting content Apple isn't particularly fond of under that domain, and you probably get some sort of cease and desist letter from them.

This. There's a bunch of Apple news sites/blogs but your domain is perfect for everything that revolves around all of Apple's keynote. If you have the time, you could make a blog that involves Apple Keynotes with product launches.

If Apple wants it, they'll have an easy peasy lemon squeezy time getting it via legal means and sticking you with fees - you're using their name(s), after all.

If Apple wants it, you don't stand a chance. The good thing is that unlike Google, Amazon, and eBay, Apple is pretty cool about allowing usage of their product names.
