Anyway to verify this without trying another carriers sim?

This website is only to check the status of a request you made to unlock a device. It won’t tell you if a specific decide is unlocked or not.

If you paid full for your device and you received the notification through iTunes, then your device is unlocked. You can always call Apple to verify that status for you.

Outside of that, it will work only on GSM carriers (T-Mobile, ATT, Cricket, etc.).
