It's frown upon on this forum to help with stolen property.

Completely bad info.
Can't do that on a 4S and even if you could jb you cannot unlock it.
Why does everyone think jailbreaking is the same as unlocking?
Hi, I found an Iphone 4s which has a passcode on it, from what i can tell the phone was on the network Fido (canada). Does anyone know what i can do with it, can i get it unblocked and use it in the UK, or sell it for parts.
Thanks
Yes you can do that on iPhone 4s.If it has 5.1.1 and you didnt upate it you can just re-restore to 5.1.1 with SHSH
But if you update to iOS 6 you are stuck
That's if it has full shsh blobs saved by its original owner and was not updated OTA.
Or 5.1.1 was not the factory fresh firmware initially installed on the device.
Even if you did save the blobs, they are no good if you are on iOS 6
What diddo to block A5 downgrading?
What diddo to block A5 downgrading?
Nothing.
There is just no bootrom exploit like it is for the previous devices.
Without that you cannot use those shsh blobs.
How could you downgrade to 5.0.1 from 5.1.1 on a 4s from example before?
