I have had both previous Zmax phones are really liked them both, they offer great value for the money. It reminds me of the Nexus 6 a lot but I like this even better, it has a rear finger print scanner that works really well and reminds me of the Honor scanner. It has 32 gig storage, 2 gigs ram, 1080p 6" screen, Snapdragon 617, and a micro sd slot. The battery is a 3400 mah but on my first full day I am not wowed, the Zmax 2 is better as well as my Honor 8 but this may be due to being my first day and installing stuff etc. I have been off the charger for almost 12 hours and I am at 25% and have 3h 38m sot.

Has anyone here used one? It is a Metro PCS phone but I bought an unlock code for 9 bucks off ebay and paid 80 for the phone, I am very pleased so far.

I bought one after I crushed my Xperia Z3 with my hatchback door. I wasn't sure what I was going to do (probably order an XZ), so I went by T-mobile to grab a stand-in phone. The ZMax was pretty much an auto purchase. Tremendous value, even at T-mobs $180 tab. It really altered what I could expect from a "cheap" phone.

All that said, my wife then decided like 2 weeks later that we needed to switch back to Verizon, as her iPhone antenna was too feeble to work at our friends house (that we spend at least a couple evenings a week at) and she wasn't going to switch to an Android with a better antenna. So the ZMax is going to one of the co-workers that was rather impressed by it, and I'm back to Moto, as Sony and Verizon don't play well together :-(. Got my Z and a couple mods. The battery back got me through 3 days of use, and might have made a 4th if I'd been careful...

The only downside I have seen so far is no fast charging and the camera, it has type c which was surprising. ZTE's skin of android is very minimum and not much bloat at all
