I WAS CHARGED 42 BUCKS. PERHAPS IT'S THE CASE'S FEE. BUT I AM WONDERING IF THE CASE IS ON THE WAY. I PRE ORDERED SEVERAL DAYS AGO, BUT MY ACCOUNT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, I JUST PUT SOME IN IT. WILL THE APPLE CANCEL MY ORDER? BECAUSE APPLE JUST CHARGED MY CASE FEE.... THANKS GUYS.

If it's a credit card, you'll get declined and the order put on hold. If it's a debit card, your bank will probably charge you overdraft.

Why are you trying to buy stuff without money?

I thought I had some money... what i should do now? I have had put some in my account yesterday....
Thanks.
I have be charge for overdraft for 50 dollars by BOA since I bought a sandwich in Mcdonald just for 2 bucks. Very bad experience. Hopefully everything would be okay...

Ships: Late April

I should go to bed ,it's too late right now. Good night guys.

i pre-ordered both last sunday and they were both listed as "ships late april" but yesterday morning i received and email that said the case had shipped...i am so excited to have an ipad case with no ipad:rolleyes:

I pre-ordered the iPad 3G on the first day of pre-orders along with the case. I received the case last week. Each item ships individually based on availability unless you specifically told them to group the order at the time it was placed. Now I spend my time looking longingly at the case waiting for word that the 3G's are shipping!!!

Sounds to me like they shipped the case to you.

As far as the charge goes, if the charge gets posted to your account before the money is deposited, you will be overdrawn. If your deposit is posted first then no worries. Your deposit should be posted immediately especially if you did it in person. The charge will be posted to your account when the bank receives the actual transmission from Apple. Your account will have a hold on it until it is received.

$42.39 to me sounds like the cost of the case plus sales tax and/or shipping and handling fees.

Switch banks. $50 for a single overdraft fee is insanity. Yeah, you shouldn't have went ordering stuff without, you know, having money. But still.

Many have automatic overdraft protection built in for free. I use ING & they give me like $30 in protection. BOA is one of the worst banks out there for greediness. Drop them like a bad habit & don't look back.

Not to get all preachy and high horse with it but dont you think if you are using your check card to pay for a $2 burger and dont have the money in your account to cover that, then you probably shouldnt be ordering a $500+ device if you dont have the money for it? This kind of consumer attitude is part of the reason so many people are in the situation they are in this economy.

Are you serious? Or are you just trolling?

Regardless, how are you going to pay for a $500 iPad if a $2 sandwich from McDonald's makes you overdraft your account?

When the iPad is ready to ship the iPad, Apple does charge your card in advance to make sure it has enough on it. Since we really don't know the release date for the iPad 3G, make sure you have enough in your account starting next Monday at the earliest. Apple could start shipping the iPad 3G at any moment once we enter Late April.

That's what happened to me. I ordered the case with the 3G iPad. The case arrived on April 6th. I'm still waiting for the 3G iPad.

Caps lock.... cannot read.....hurting my eyes........

This is why I can't find a case for my Wifi iPad... All you guys preordered 3Gs and received the cases that could have been used for the WiFi iPads. Thats excellent logistics Apple

Hahaha, yeah for real. I am still waiting on my Apple case to ship for my WiFi iPad. :p

This sounds like the 3G support group. I pre-ordered on 3/23, got the dock on 4/5, and just yesterday got the apple case. I refuse to open the boxes until the 3G gets here. "Late April" feels like forever. Ok, I feel better now.

LOL same thing happened to me. Preordered 3G no where in sight but both my Apple case and the Griffin Elan Passport case are on trucks for delivery this morning :D

Is the point of this thread really "I bought something and was charged for it?"

I'm so confused.

Almost every bank posts in order from largest transaction to smallest, so if you have 42.39 coming out, a 50 dollar cash deposit should, in theory, post first.
