The best feature is the new dock! Now I don't have to jailbreak anymore!

There’s much more to iOS 11 than the dock. iOS 11 gave the iPad some life. I’m not seeing any jaw dropping changes on the iPhone though. Battery life is the exact same as iOS 10, at least.... even with this second beta.

what's new with the dock?

edit: oooooh you're referring to the iPad.... Sorry I automatically assumed iPhone.

You can add more apps to the dock and you can also access it from within an app by swiping up. I has ios 11 for a week and had to downgrade...way too buggy. I can wait until Fall.

Were you on beta 1? Both my iPad and iPhone, I’m having no noticeable issues. It’s not as snappy as iOS 10.3.2 but it’s pretty close. A fresh install might help using the beta 2 ipsw

It was the public beta that was released on Monday...it wasn't buggy 100% of the time, but when it was, it was really annoying.

Lol ya nothing big has changed with the iPhone dock.... at least as far as I have noticed.

Would be great if they gave it the same dock as the iPad, at least on the plus size phone. I think you can do multi tasking with the 7 plus... But I guess Apple will sell less iPads if they did that.

How about speed? Will it make my iphone feel obsolete, as it's designed to do?

troll much? At least try to keep it subtle.

Initial observations on iOS 11 beta:
1. Pretty solid for only the second beta release
2. Messages in iCloud rocks
3. Multitasking on theiPad Pro is much easier and even usable

Glad I'm not the only one liking iOS 11. I've had the beta installed on my 7 for a couple days now and I'm pretty impressed by it. I definitely like the new music player on lock screen. The one thing I liked about Android was that the music player didn't take up the entire lock screen like it does on iOS.

I'm still up in the air on the bolder fonts, but I'm sure I will get used to them.

So far I’m liking the new features but it is kinda buggy. BTW, I’m on an iPad Pro 9.7. The new keyboard will take some getting used to but looks to be more efficient than the old keyboard. Just an observation - does safari scroll faster/smoother than iOS 10? Seems like it to me.

I have the Pro 9.7 as well and I’m starting to get used to and like the new keyboard. Multitasking and the dock are both awesome. I also feel like Safari performance overall is better than iOS 10.

The Pro with iOS 11 has made it one step closer to me replacing it with my Mac Air. Have not found the perfect keyboard case, which I’m picky with and I need something with iTunes access so it is still quite a ways away from it being replaced, but it’s a tidbit closer

The way I understand it, they replaced the custom Safari scrolling method with the same standard scrolling method used in other apps, which should greatly improve the speed, fluidity and function of Safari scrolling.

Well iOS 11 turns the 5s into a potato so you are correct.
Beta 1 did, beta 2 is much better. (My test phone is a 5S.) Optimizations aren't finished yet, and hard core telemetry is turned on with early betas to let them debug and optimize.

You can't complain about bugs in this early of a beta, as they're expected. You can't complain about performance, because telemetry is usually cranked up until late betas. They'd why it's not recommended for daily drivers.
