This is like the umpteenth time I've tried to restore from an older firmware. I've followed several different guides with different download links for my firmware.

When I open the firmware folder there's no ipsw files in there to select! Why is this happening? ALL of the guides show pictures of these ipsw files that are in the folder when you go to restore!!

If you're having a problem finding your ipsw files a quick and easy fix might be to just download the version you want to your desktop and restore from there. A quick Google will find you all versions.

Done that. No matter where I choose to place the file, it shows the same thing in the finder when I browse to find it.

You dropped it on your desktop? Ok, this might be a silly suggestion but have you changed your dropdown menu "Files of type" (when you browse for your ipsw file) to "All Files"? This will allow you to browse ALL files. I also am assuming you're on Windows?

Nope. I'm on a Mac. Is this something you can do on OSX too? Either way I guess it doesn't matter anymore since I got so impatient with this shyte that I busted out the ol' HP laptop, found a program and tutorial and had my phone jailbroken within 10 minutes.

**** you Apple. :D
