I Really need help with my Iphone 3gs

happy holidays to everyone..

well i just recently bought a iphone 3gs and the first day i got i really want to jailbreak and unlock it...

Well i really made a big mistake!!! after restoring the apple to 3.1.2 to my iphone 3gs. i used black rain.. after that everything was going well i downloaded cydia . I was really happy but i forgot to download black snow... and i turned off my iphone.. i turned it back on and it had the the usb sign with a arrow facing the itunes sign... so i said to myself damn i made a mistake.. so i restored the iphone to its original settings.. i tryed on reapeating the same steps but as soon as black rain is running the guy shows up on the screen but soon aftter a usb sighn comes up with a apple sign and now black rain isnt working... I hope i didnt mess anything up,,, i did restore it 3.1.2.. i really need help did i mess up my phone? can anyone help me im really confused and scared ... thanks appreciate all the help .. im a new iphone user... thanks

It might be because you have the new bootrom. Someone has posted on this forum how to find that out. If the bootrom is 392.3 your ok if its 392.32 or 392.3.2 it will require a tethered jailbreak which will mean you need to run Blackra1n every time you want to turn your phone on.

Ok, calm down... deep breaths... You didn't mess up your iPhone. You can restore all day every day and not mess up your i. Run blackra1n again. IF you turn your phone off and then back on and you get the usb deally, simply run BR again.
Not many jb apps/themes cause a hard restart but make sure you're close to your comp when adding/taking off apps/themes.

Sometimes Blackrain doesn't work the first time, so just keep trying.

And don't turn off your phone, restart it or let the battery die. You'll have to jailbreak again if you do.
