There are several threads that I have found about iPhones not turning off after the battery dying.. Well my battery didn't die, I updated some applications, and it seemed to be running slowly, so I turned it off for about 5 minutes to let it "rest". When I attempted to turn it back on the apple showed up, but then the screen went blank again. I kept trying and it wouldn't work, so I don't really know what to do..does anyone have any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you very much.

First open iTunes and connect your USB cord to your computer, but do not plug it into your iPhone. Then press and hold the home button on your phone while connecting the USB cord into your iPhone, while continuing to hold down the home button. Then click restore in iTunes.

Let us know how it turns out.

Edit: Also, I'm assuming you synced your contacts to either Address Book or Outlook, when you did your last sync.

It worked! I'm just waiting on all of my stuff to sync back onto it. I hadn't synced my contacts with my address book...needless to say, I did this time. :) Thanks again!
