I bought the IR-1050 travel charger from MacMall when I bought my new iPod Touch. When I had it plugged in today I noticed something strange. While the iPod is plugged into the wall the touch screen starts acting funky. When I try flipping through pages on the home screen it sometimes gets caught in the middle and when I tried to power it off I couldn't slide the slider all the way to the right until I unplugged it. None of this happens if I charge off of my macbook.

Is this just because it charges faster or should I not be using this? It outputs 5.2V at 700mA, is that in the 'safe' range for charging my iPod?

hola,

5.2V and 700mA should be OK. I don't think that's the problem. It could be that the voltage and/or current provided by your charger is very instable.

When I connect my touch to the charger, if it was powered off, it wakes up on its own. I've never tried to shut it down when connected to the charger, so I cannot tell if this is normal or not. I'll try it later.
