Wow! After saving and working my entire summer and end of school year I now have my beauty. A 20" 2.4 GHz iMac! My entire family has been using PC's all my life (I have a picture of me with a PC in my room at 2 years old) (My Dad worked at Jumpstart so we got all the coolio games) but I fell in love watching YouTube tech videos.

I still cannot believe I am typing on this beautiful Apple Wireless Keyboard and using the Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse. The trip to the Apple Store was amazing. I had just gotten back from New York that day and a few hours later we left. In the Apple Store, we had a very nice guy help us. My Dad was questioning between the 2.66 model which I was originally going to get and a Mac Mini (obviously I did not want the Mac Mini so luckily the guy said the iMac would be better) and so I got iWork, Applecare, and then the guy goes out of nowhere, "You want an iPod?" and my Dad was like, "What?" and he said "I can give you the college deal and you get an iPod Touch or a iPod Nano and you can get the Rebate and $100 off your Mac." and I was shocked. My Dad had always wanted an iPod for Christmas or his Birthday or something. And we eventually are going to get iPhones sometime in November. So he looks at me and goes, "Time for my iPod. iPod Touch please!" So we're getting the Rebate and everything! It's awesome!

So my Apple Store experience was just amazing. I am so happy with my iMac. I am in love with it!

So that's my story, of how my Apple Love got started!

In five years time you'll still be looking at it and going wow, how did they fit it all in there and I can't believe it still runs flawlessly. Glad I never got a big ugly Windows box that I replaced because it wasn't worth the cost of upgrading.

Congratulations Chris! I know that you will love your imac just as much as I love mine. I have had mine for 1 year 9 months and I have never regretted it. I don't see that ever happening in the near future either. You are happy and your Dad is happy. Maybe he will get one too. :) Great combination. :p:D

Bump your RAM to 2GB or 4GB total. It's so cheap, and well worth it if you're multi-tasking at all.

Enjoy your new iMac! I love mine.

Not through Apple... sorry for not clarifying. Do it through Crucial or any other low-cost RAM retailer online.
