So 2 weeks ago I had to restore my iPhone (I'll spare you the details but know I tried everything possible to avoid it) and being on an iPhone 5 that meant being forced to upgrade to 6.1.3.... Fast forward to today, my phone kept dropping service and it wouldn't come back until I flicked airplane mode off and on. So I make a genius appointment since I work 5 minutes from the grand central store. I was worried I wouldn't be able to replicate the issue for the genius, but lo and behold the phone went in to "no service" as he was looking at it..... So long story short I got a replacement and immediately went to the settings and about screen. The skies parted, angels sang and a tear came to my eye when I saw 6.1.2

Nice:cool:.

Great story and luck bro. This time be extra careful with your JB. I just got another iphone after losing my JB on my old one. This time I always make sure whatever I get from cydia is iP5 and ios 6 compatible!

Had the something happen to me a few weeks back. The refurb I was given had 6.0.2. Would have rather had 6.1.2 but at least I am still able to jailbreak.

Cool story, bro. :D

I felt the same way when I saw our inventory at work had 6.1.2 on them. I made sure to not do any updates to mine so it stayed on that version and I could JB it right when I got home. :)

just wondering if you have the 8-ball pool game installed (by miniclip). this game causes me to lose signal if i don't close the app in the app tray.

confirmed on more than 1 device.

I didn't have that app. Maybe there are several apps that cause this

I dont see how an app could cause you to lose connection unless it makes you hold the phone wrong.

Oh yes, I went there.

go download the app, play a few games, leave it opened and go do something else on your phone (turn off wifi). your signal will drop. actually, don't even do anything, just set it down on the table and watch your signal fluctuate
