All of my contact info is lost on both my iphone and my macbook. I have done it many times without problems, but for some reason, now I have lost everything! Does anyone know what could have happened? Also, is there anyway I can get it back? This is soooo frustrating. I just bought the iphone a month ago, and I have been updating my contacts on it regularly. The macbook was supposed to be my backup, but they aren't on there anymore either. HELP!

Just wanted to add

This is not an unlocked phone---bought it from the att store last month. And, strangely enough, it was only the contacts that were destroyed on both the iphone and the computer. My calendar is still fine (thank goodness!).

Anyone know if the contact info is stored in the backups that iTunes makes of your iPhone? Could she restore her iPhone and get her contacts back?

I hate to say it, but this would be a good time to invest in an external hard drive and use Time Machine to backup your Mac - or at least your user folder, so that you have this info in case of emergencies like this...

Actually yes the backups do store all of that info but if you synced with iTunes prior to losing your data its all gone.

If you did not you may have a chance of restoring if you put your iphone in recovery mode, restore it, and you should be propted to either setup as new iPHone or restore from backup.

BEFORE DOING ALL OF THAT.

Make sure that all of the data you normally sync is checked for on in Itunes
