Hi,
I'm writing to inform Macrumors/mac users about "actual size images" within MobileMe Gallery.
I spoke to MobileMe live support today about My Gallery and actual image size photos. I used my MobileMe gallery to post high resolution images via Aperture for a client to download images from my gallery.
Here's the transcript from the support:
My name is Chad and the Apple tech is David B.

I think Apple is misrepresenting MobileMe. This is from the MobileMe features page: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/gallery.html
"Print-quality downloads.
You can allow visitors to download "high-resolution copies" of their favorite photos or entire albums right from their browser. Your photos download as full-size JPEGs (highest resolution) or images optimized for 16-by-20-inch prints (smaller file size)."
How many megapixels is a "high resolution copy" and what is a "print - quality download"?
I probably won't buy a MobileMe account because of this detail now.
Thought I'd share this with you.
Thanks,
Chad
