I think Apple has sent me 2 iPads... I think this for the following reasons...

1. When I got my shipping notice from apple, I actually got two of them.
2. When I track my package, I get the message from UPS, "There Were 2 Packages Matching Your Criteria"
3. Both of the packages have the SAME tracking number, weight, and tracking info...

I remember this happening with the iPhone 3GS, where some people received 2 instead of one...

Could it be??

I might just be that. If so I'd only open one and keep the other sealed in case Apple wants it back. Also you may want to keep a printout of the packing slip stuck to the box with a gumband.

That's what I was planning on...

Here's what happens when I type in my tracking number to track it...

If two do arrive, first thing I would do it phone Apple and ask what happened and check if you were charged twice.

If you were charged twice (i.e., maybe you made a mistake and added two iPads to your cart, or the server accepted the transaction twice) then Apple will probably say you can send it back for a refund. BUT you may want to tell them you'll keep it, then you could sell it on eBay for, oh I don't know… $1000? They're going to be sold out for a while.

But I wouldn't get too excited, it's probably not two. :p

Hate to burst your bubble, but I doubt you're getting two.

UPS uses a separate tracking number for every box it ships. So if there are two boxes you'd have two unique tracking numbers.

My guess is for some reason UPS' website is acting funny. Anyone who uses UPS frequently can tell you that stuff like this happens all the time.

I also remember during the iPhone launches where a few may actually have received more than one, there were many that hoped/believed the same because they saw the same repeat listings, some with 4 or 5...but in the end only received what they paid for.

I had this happen with CS a few years back. I ordered one and it never came so I called Apple and they shipped out another one. The first one showed up like a month later. *Yoink!*

You must be from Pittsburgh :)

I am indeed. I love my great city.

When I first saw that I was thinking "what the hell is a gumband". Then I released it must be "yankee" for rubberband.

It ain't yankee, but Pittsburghese.

What ever happened to calling it an elastic?

It was never called elastic here, outsiders mostly call it a "rubber band". Whatever those are.

<--- Pittsburgh representing! :D But there will be no Pittsburghese from me, unless I'm making fun of it.

Strictly regional. I'm a Yankee and I say "rubber band," as does everyone in my area.
