I had a 1st gen. Never jailbroke.

Now I have the 3G.

I played around and jailbroke my 2.0.1 version. I loved making new themes and all the things you can do. Then i wanted to get the NES emulator.

I got SSH and got my NES working and was loving it.

Then one night I was messing around with SSH, trying to find Kate on my iPhone and delete it. I opened installer, and it froze. So I had to reboot my Phone.

When it restarted, there was a USB plug sybol telling me to plug into iTunes. When i plugged it in, it gave me some long error code.

My phone was useless. Bricked i guess.

Did some googling, found out how to enter recovery mode, wiped the slate clean. Erased everything. Made me upgrade to 2.0.2 now. But it completely wiped it clean, I lost all my settings, and some phone numbers.

It's kinda ******, Im just happy my phone works again.

Anyone know about this?

Happy you got it back working. Technically though, if you're able to recover it its not bricked :)

Oh ok.. wasn't sure of the technicalities of 'bricking'

But still, it was not working. Giving me error codes and stuff.

Had to wipe it clean

Yea its a pain having to reinstall all your Cydia apps and all your music and videos, etc...
