Hey guy's,
I'm very sorry if this question has popped up before. I can't find any thread though.
I'm on a 5,1 Mac Pro. I was running High Sierra and updated my old cheese grater with a non flashed, metal supported GPU, thus no boot screen. Now I can update too Mojave. Great!
All went well, firmware update and a restart.
The only thing is, I can't see any progress during the update.
I'm afraid I made a terrible mistake as I'm waiting on some sign of life for more than an hour.
Is there an action required during the update? The vents speed up from time to time but I still have no chime, no screen, no nothing :-(
Should I force quit the machine and put my old GPU back in? Should I wait?
What happens when I interrupt the update?
I have no idea what's going on.
All help and suggestions are very much appreciated!
Cheers!
Edit: I've put in the original GPU, Mojave installed and runs OK. But after putting back the GTX680, fans are fully blowing and the MP is not booting :/
