Wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if it even is a problem. Whenever I take a picture of say a landscape the foreground always comes out with good detail but the background is always a little blurred. I was sitting on the beach and took a picture of a couple of boats on the water and I know my hand was steady but when I looked at the pic the boats were blurred but the sand from the beach in the foreground had good detail. I'm just wondering if others have this problem or if it's just the way the camera works. Has anyone else had this? Thanks.

My best guess is that this camera has a fixed focus point. The lens doesn't seem to really focus on anything. Do some tests and find where it actually focus' and play with that.
