There was a bit of controversy over who came up with the logo.

I still think it's a beautiful sentiment but I'm sure Jobs would have hated it. He was, after all, an intensely private person. But for tributary purposes, yes, I think it's a very touching.

Going forward it places too much emphasis on Steve Jobs. It's a great tribute, no question, but that's all it should be, and not a permanent logo.

The tribute logo is about Steve Jobs, not Apple. It doesn't seem healthy to adopt it as the company logo proper.

While it *might" have been "Steve Jobs Inc" for many years, it no longer is. We need to move past Jobs and focus on the gifts and talents of the current team.

Definitely shouldn't be a new logo, I don't even think that should've been a question.

Jobs would roll over in his grave if they made that the logo. It goes against his want of personal privacy, and doesn't help Apple to differentiate themselves as a company from Steve Jobs as a person. This is one of the few times I see eye to eye with *LTD*, it's definitely the wrong direction to take.

the most Apple should do is maybe use that logo on their site for a week but sure as hell never make it the company logo.

I do think they should do a retro themed time span were they use the old school rainbow logo on a product or site for a little while.
