MobileMe was launched last Thursday. All of the features have been buggy at best and it's now Tuesday. No word from Apple. Very disappointing.

So here I am Apple. I have $99 that I would like to give you per year for your service. At the very least, I would like a public statement that you're aware of the all the issues and are working to resolve it ASAP. If the service isn't up and working 100% by the end of today without a public acknowledgement, I will be canceling my trial.

Hopefully others will do the same.

CUT TO
Steve Jobs getting up in the morning, still not caring.

If the MAJORITY of users take issue with something that Apple does, they will usually address and fix it. Whether you like it or not, you, and EVERYONE on these forums are still not the majority. Just a very small minority in the grand scheme of things. Get over yourselves, these "I'm boycotting" threads mean nothing.

I'm sure SJ is aware of the issues.

Patience is what is required here people. These things will all get sorted.....patience!

I agree, patience. However, they need to acknowledge and give us some kind of timeline. Give me that, and my patience will be restored.

Can't be anymore patient 5 days of downtime on Homepages is not normal. I'd love to publish to mobileme and get access to my galleries.

It took years for .Mac to function corectly, and even then it wasn't that great. It's funny how people expect it to work in a couple of days.

Start emailing Steve Jobs if possible.

I already have, but his assistant is on vacation and therefore he's not getting any emails pushed to him.

His assistant is in charge of manually synching his emails, calendar, and contacts.

Wow really? I never looked into .Mac. That's horrid, and I commend you for bending over and taking it in the rear.

I don't plan on canceling any time soon. It is working exactly the way I expected it to. I wanted it for the push feature with my iPhone and it works very well.

You people are nuts. You launch a product when it works. PERIOD.

MobileMe does not meet virtually any of the standards that it's own marketing sets for itself, therefore it does not work, therefore it should not have been released into the wild in its current state. PERIOD.

Are they going to fix it? Probably. Will it be a timely fix? Probably not.

Am I going to twiddle my thumbs and stare at my non-existent webmail while they get around to fixing it? Hell no.

Steve Jobs couldn't care less about our problems. He's not answerable to anyone. I still remember how he fooled people at the 3G iPhone launch.

Oooh, we learnt soo much from the 1st iPhone. So we're making the new one from plastic, it's beautiful. BOOM!

Wow ... great justification Steve, hats off to you.

Contacts Searching ... BOOM!
Landscape Calculator ... BOOM!
Mass Delete Email!! ... OMG BOOM!

Seriously Steve, take a look around you. I've had contacts searching on a phone that I used in 1998.

Apple needs to seriously stop smelling their own farts, and get back to making quality products.

Great attitude brother. I think people are really starting to complain and they are doing it here....

In there are some serious long threads and some people that are using some choice words on Apples own site. Its Tuesday now and some people that used their webmail daily probably have not been able to since Friday/Saturday. I bet they are thinking that free Gmail account is looking much better than their $99 a year .mac account at this point.

Sadly MacRumors and Appleinsider should have this on their front page, if they were not such huge fan boys.

MobileMe is working fine for me. Then again, I'm not one of those people who thought it would magically push all my separate email accounts and make me toast in the mornings.

MobileMe is working fine for me.

How so? Besides Push and Sync what is working? Groups is down, home pages can't be published, Idisk is often unreachable laggy and slow. Mobileme mail keeps getting disconnected and giving random errors of not being able to connect. Heck system preferences Mobileme randomly said my password has changed please enter a new one.

Thank you for reading my mind. You are absolutely right. This situation is ridiculous. However Apple doesn't read this forum you will have to do a formal complaint on their feedback website.

iDisk has always been laggy and slow. iTools mail used to disconnect, then .Mac mail used to disconnect and now MobileMe mail disconnects.
I'm not saying this is acceptable but this is the way it's always been. I don't expect it to change.

WTH are you talking about? the back is plastic as metal cases interfere with signals and there is contact searching in 2.0!

Alright, lets consider the plastic back as a technical constraint. The glaring lack of other features like MMS, SMS forwarding, Video recording, Cut/Paste support, SMS counters, SMS delivery receipts and so on is simply unacceptable .

And yes, I know 2.0 has contacts searching. It should have been there from Day 1.

The damn device cannot even cancel sending a text if you push the "Send" button by mistake.

So much for an enterprise device.

Apple can take as long as they need to to sort things out. It's obviously a nightmare of a situation, and I would hate to be in the depths of Cupertino where this is trying to get sorted. Everybody dealing with this at Apple has my utmost sympathy!

HOWEVER. To not keep people informed (or even to say "bear with us, we have teething problems") is unacceptable. As it stands, as the problems aren't acknowledged, there's nothing stopping people from assuming that the way it is is the way it will be. To say MobileMe is working fine when for a sizeable minority of people it clearly isn't is IMHO plain wrong, and does nothing to endear Apple to either new or existing users.

EXACTLY!

With no acknowledgement, I'm going to assume that your service, as buggy as it is, will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

iDisk has always been one of the worst options for online storage. "Slow" doesn't do the pain of using it justice. I use it as a third backup for my very important documents. Beyond that, worthless. And get used to having trouble connecting to Mail, web or mail clients. That's pretty standard for this service.

MobileMe - just as .Mac was - is pretty packaging around options that are available elsewhere, almost always done better, and more often than not free. The only feature that MobileMe has introduced that hasn't been available elsewhere already for years is the seamless syncing between iCal, Outlook and the website (and that may actually work in the next few months).

It's worth the money to me because I like to simplify and use Apple products. But it's not a miracle add-on, it's not innovative, and how it's working now doesn't surprise me at all. That isn't a fanboi response or accepting how bad it is right now, just a comment that it is not unexpected for those of us who have been using it's predecessor since launch.
