I thought I was going to regret getting a Galaxy Nexus today

But that did not happen! I mean really besides the possible A15 in the proc and LTE what did I miss??? I used iOS6, wasn't something that gave me that "Fizz"(as James May would say on Top Gear) Nothing today showed me different.

Truly though it was the lack of NFC. Now using it everyday, I don't see a phone going in the future that lacks it being something I desire.

So this post is for those owners of a one year old phone that went "Woot Woot, thanks for playing catch up!"

Aside from the camera, my GN still fits my needs perfectly. Really surprised how well it stands up to handsets today.

Still one of the best Android handsets 10 months on and due a hardware update soon. Looking forward to it.

I love this new liberation from the iPhone I've had about two months steady now.

I'm really enjoying my Galaxy Nexus, especially since it's coupled with T-Mobile's $30/month no contract deal. It's basically perfect for my needs right now.

Even though I just got a Galaxy S3 less than 3 weeks ago I see myself getting the next Nexus. I'm already running a google based ROM so it's not like I got the S3 for it's software.

In my opinion, Jelly Bean still needs work, but it's definitely a "stabilizer" for Google. In other words, the OS is finally pretty well rounded and good all around.

I think, now, it's time to focus on delivering two things for Google's next Nexus:

Hardware and Launch.

It's time they start using premium materials and really elevate the build quality, since it seems this is a point of contention for many people. Plus, it would undoubtedly draw more attention.

And secondly, they have to handle the launch much better. I'm talking fully unlocked, carrier free, on the Google Play store, and offer multiple storage sizes (16g & 32g at the least). And if they can price it competitively -- something in the ~$500 range -- that would only help attract more customers. To date, Google has mishandled every Nexus launch. But the way they handled the Nexus 7 launch does give me hope.

Those are my hopes, but I ain't getting my hopes up too high...
