When I download my songs from iCloud to the new 256, my metadata doesn't change. For instance, I am missing the year of one song, and when I updated it from iCloud, it doesn't update the year. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

You're not doing anything wrong. iTunes Match will not replace your metadata, even if you delete a song and download it from the cloud.

You could try to use some tagging software to fix your metadata.

Gotcha. Thanks! I thought I read somewhere that it would, must have been wrong.

So it doesn't update the artwork either?

That is a good question. I am ANAL about my artwork and only like to use hi-res scans...so my artwork is pretty top notch and solid. Well AFTER iTunes Match I had to go back through almost every single one of my albums and re-download the artwork. This is not a common problem, but it has happened to others.

Sometimes it would have double artwork (which you could ONLY tell by looking at individual tracks), and sometimes it would erase my hi-res scan and use the one from iTunes which sometimes is okay but just annoying when iTunes Match says over and over again we will not mess with your library...yeah...thats not true.

Needless to say I am PISSED...so much time wasted, just leave my tracks the hell alone iTunes Match...grrrrr
