From what Iv'e read, cost will be one of the real advantages of this system. It has fewer moving parts and is inherently very very simple and very very clever.
BUT cost depends on whatever they decide to rip us off with for ink refills-HP, Lexmark, Canon etc sell the printer at cost and make piles of money on the ink. This will be the same. The cost bears no relation to the actual cost to make.
But Memjet will be the word on everybody's lips soon-however sounds like all the big (and some new players by the sounds of things) have signed licensing agreements.
They could do a camera sized or house sized printer with this stuff, it really is exciting. They could put a decent resolution one in a phone-apple are you watching
