I wanna jailbreak my phone but I dont know how...

Hi all I just picked up my iphone Sunday and would like to jailbreak it. i connected my phone to my laptop and synced my phone to itunes. It also automatically updated my firmware to 2.2.1.

I was wondering if someone can tell me step by step on what exactly i need to do to jailbreak my phone.

Thanks for any info.

I only ask because people say if I try to jailbreak my phone with 2.0 firmware and I have 2.2.1 it could ruin my phone.
