Hope we have the choices...

----------

And of course with glowing logo...

Those would be pretty cool. Having a white ATV would make for a great match for an airport extreme, express, or Time Capsule. I'd also like the logo to be illuminated, but I can definitely see why Apple wouldn't do that (power consumption, interfering with the home theater experience, et cetera).

I want less lights on my home theater gear not more. I'm fine with the current design. Just give me a better processor and official support for 1080p!

I would like it to be full sized to fit in an a/v rack with room for two 3.5" HDDs. In addition to 1080p ATV function, I would like it to act as a an awesome low power mac server.

My wants in addition to what it currently has:

  • A5, 512MB RAM - for 1080p and apps
  • Functional USB port for add-ons such as local HDD
  • An app store
  • A way to access media on the local network (or attached to the USB port) w/o a computer running itunes

Wasn't the former model silver?

it was silverfish in color. Ugly to the max.

"I want the new ATV to have a clear enclosure with a neon Apple Logo." :D
No way, I like it in Ninja Black, just the way it is, barely noticeable.

Would be nice to have apps on it, but how in the world would you interact with apps using that tiny remote control? I wouldn't expect a new breed of Apps just for the ATV to appear. Something new would have to be created.

I definitely agree! In fact, I've already sent product feedback / enhancment request to Apple about this a few weeks ago.

I'd personally love a white model, but I wouldn't mind a silver/unibody aluminum one either.

I think every iOS device, ATV included, should be treated the same way in terms of aesthetics, and thus come in different color choices.

it was silverfish in color. Ugly to the max.

It wasn't unibody aluminum though and it had plastic on it if i recall. We're talking about Apple in 2011 Mac Mini style; unibody aluminum with a shiny black Apple logo on the top would be beautiful.
