I want to disable "Notification Center" permanently but it won't work. I have followed this guide but it will only stay off until I reboot or restart the computer.

I have found a faster way, click on ALT-key and "Notification Center" icon on the menu bar at the samt time to disable it for the day but I don't want to do that every day I use the computer.

Why can't I turn off/disable "Notification Center" permanently?

I use OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.

it's not designed to be disabled. but here's what i did:

i use 'bartender' to hide the menu icon. i removed any & all apps from the notification system preference.

so, i NEVER see notifications (except for system updates).

I also removed the apps from the notification system preference list but they are back once I reboot or restart the computer.

They don't disappear, but go to the bottom of the list and are not active once you clear off the check on the right side

I have already tried that but they return when I reboot/restart the computer. :(
