First off, thanks to everyone who's answered my threads, I appreciate it.

I still can't quiet choose between the Macbook and the pro.

Price is an issue, if I purchase a Macbook it will be maxed out, (blackbook) with iwork and .Mac preinstalled, as well as the 2 year Apple Care plan. If I purchase a Macbook pro, it'll be the lowest end version with absolutely nothing else. (scary thought..no warrenty!)

I want to use garage band major, imovie too..that will be fun. Web surfing/school work. And MAYBE some games, doubtful but possibily.

What is my machine?!

THANKS!

Josh

EDIT: Games ...Ummm. Older games I guess, Diablo 2 is a classic, Age of Empires and other RTS, NO half life and NO quake, no FPS!

Depends on the games you're intending to play, really.

Half-Life 2 would be about the max you'd be able to run on the MacBook at somewhat decent FPS.

Other than that...go for the MacBook. You don't *need* a Pro for those tasks.

macbook

yeah, basing on what you wanna do with it, I would just go for the macbook. plus you def wanna get a protection plan on such an expensive product.

You can buy the Apple Care for the Macbook pro anytime within 1 year of purchase. you can also find it much cheaper than retail on e-bay. So you don't have plonk down for it at the time of purchase.

I think the MBP is simply the best. that lowest end model should have enough power for you.

For the kind of gaming you have in mind, a fully maxed out macbook should be able to handle them just fine..

But really, if price is an issue, why are you getting black instead of white?

lol sorry I didn't include that.

$2000 is all the money I'm willing to burn. So I can get a blackbook with np.
