I want to UPGRADE my GRAPHIC CARD (again) in my MAC PRO 1.1

Can I use PCI-E 2.0 8x (Graphic Card) in my Mac Pro 1.1 ?

Actually I'm using EL CAPITAN (10.11) on internal SSD with Nvidia Geo Force 210 Graphic Card.

And now I want to buy this:

VGA 2GB GT 720 EVGA VGA, HDMI, D-I LP
(Part. Number 02G-P3-2724-KR)
And now I want to buy this:

Performance
NVIDIA GT 720
192 Pixel Pipelines
797 MHz GPU

Memory
2048 MB, 64 bit DDR3
1800 MHz (effective)
14.4 GB/s Memory Bandwidth

Interface
PCI-E 2.0 8x <-----------
DVI-D, HDMI, VGA

Look the PCI-E conector .... is toooo short

PCI speed dose not matter, if you buy a pci 1/2/3 it will run at the speed you mac supports (which might be pci 1 due to windows cards in mac funkyness, not shore tho)

PCI 1 speed is fine even on new cards you will see almost no difference (and im talking gtx970+) so be happy.

dont know if it works check the link provided or the big nvidia sticky

I think it'll run at PCIe 1 @ x8 lanes, shouldn't be a problem for such a low end card I guess.

What do you expect from the upgrade? You have a low-end office card, this is also a low-end office card, so...
