i wish you could have a folder, or i guess plylist, insdie of another playlist, for example

Playlists: FAVORITE ALBUMS/(and a bunch of albums in folders that you could chose to listen to)

this feature would actually not be that big of an advantage in itunes but if i could do this on my ipod, wow , that would b great

is there any way ?

thanks

did you miss something

What do you think playlists are. They are a subset of your full music library, you can make playlists for all your albums, or have a big playlist will all your favorite albums. I wasn't sure what you were getting at.

I think he is referring to nested playlists, which has been a commonly requested feature for ages now, it seems. This is more for people who use their playlists as directories, rather than actual playlists in the truest sense of the meaning. For example, I have about 14 Tower of Power albums (the best funk band and tightest horn section EVER!), so it would be kind of cool to group them all into a "Tower of Power" playlist and then inside that, have individual playlists for each album - it's just a different way of organizing my music. Or, if I have a 2-CD set for example, instead of creating "Album Name - CD 1" and "Album Name - CD 2" playlists, it would be kind of handy to be able to just make one initial playlist, for easy reference, then have each disc orgainized in separate playlists within that main one.

Same goes for iPhoto I suppose, too. It would be nice to have a "2003", "2002", etc. album, and within each one, have sub-folders of pictures organized by trips, events, etc. - it would just help to better organize things in some repsects.

As I said, this functionality has been requested since iTuines and iPhoto were released, it seems...

at least someone understands what im getting at, just makes everything a little easier. i dont want 500 playlist, and have some many of hte same artists albums, granted i could just go to albums and get a list of them, but maybe i wnated to put a binch of different artists, and if for example i wanted all my nail young albusm, but some tags jsut say neil young while others say & crazy horse, or csny and so on, it jsut makes everything a lot wasier and quicker, especially on an ipod when iahve over 3000 songs on my ipod searching for a particular artists is sometimes a pain.
