I'm sure they could make a pretty penny porting over all the Mario games and stuff to the iPhone/iPod touch. But I highly doubt it will ever happen, since the iPhone/Ipod touch is kinda direct competition to the Gameboy and DS lines.
"the simulate D-Pad you find in iPhone games of this nature, no matter how well implemented, simply suck."
Why hasn't Nintendo thought of innovation?
Oh dear! Donkey Kong, the NES controller, the Power Glove, the Gameboy, the Virtual Boy, shoulder buttons, the analogue controller, rumble, Super Mario 64, the DS, the Wii...
Nope, no innovation there.![]()
Haha...
So true.
Probably the most innovative of all video game companies.
I truly wonder if I'm the only one who hates Nintendo, and is sick of Mario, Zelda and all the other crap they have. Why hasn't Nintendo thought of innovation? (Sorry but the Wii is far from innovative, but I'm not saying the other consoles are either...) Why do we have to have the same stupid Mario games, the same stupid Zelda games, the same stupid Metroid games??? Think of something new Nintendo. There's a reason why your console is considered kiddie...
Really? I thought Sonic on iPhone was terrible. You can't see where you're tapping and some of the precision jumps are too hard because I sometimes miss the button I'm supposed to be tapping because my finger is covering it (i.e. I can't "feel" for the button).Erm, I find the one they've used in Sonic the Hedgehog really good.

Oh yeah...I call those games :\. Give me a break.wii sports, wii fit....
I was actually talking about innovating now, with games, and not rehashing the same old IP. And I'm sorry, but the Wii is far from innovative. If you call waggling a stick in the air, with 480p graphics innovative, that's just sad. And you call the PowerGlove innovative? Really? Check out the AVGN video on the PowerGlove and tell me if you still think it's innovative. And again, the Virtual Boy? Are you just grasping at straws here? Nintendo now, is not the Nintendo of the 80's...they've slipped dramatically. Why do you think there's only a handful of games that get over 80% rated? The rest are pure crap. Because the Wii is a gimmick and nothing more. The Wii is kiddie, Mario and Zelda suck, and Nintendo are money whores. That's all it comes down to.Oh dear! Donkey Kong, the NES controller, the Power Glove, the Gameboy, the Virtual Boy, shoulder buttons, the analogue controller, rumble, Super Mario 64, the DS, the Wii...

Read above.Wow.
What rubbish.
You want to attack a console for not being innovative... and you choose the Wii?![]()

The problem with Nintendo is that they haven't made (or been able to make) new franchises since the 90's. Zelda, Mario and friends have all been around since then.
The only notable new franchises out of Nintendo in the 1990's I can think of were F-Zero and Starfox.
