Subject: I wish the power button on the late 2013 MP was in a better position

I find fumbling my finger behind the backside of my MP6,1 for the power button wasn't such a hit-and-miss operation. Yes, I can detect it after a fashion, but would prefer for it to be in a position that was easier to find and use. Maybe higher up on the backside and away from all the USB/TB ports.

I've been bitching about this since I bought my first Mac Mini.
Ok I get the 'uncluttered look' thing. But there is no reason apple cant incorporate the power button into the front fascia in an unobtrusive way or even in a way that enhances the overall form.
How hard would it have been to make the entire dome on top of the nMP the power button? Maybe have it do the sleep breathe glow as well?

I guess the Mac's at Infinite Loop never need a hard reboot because they only run Apple apps?

Yeah, it's a bad location.

Perhaps you can put a little sticky rubber foot onto the power button, the kind you put on the bottom of electronics boxes so they don't slide around. That should help you locate it by feel a lot more easily.

If that's not enough you could put a second one just to the side, outside of the port connectors area, but horizontally in line with the power button. Then you could sweep your hand outside of the cable clutter, feel the foot, and move in horizontally from there.

That is maybe my only complaint about the actual physical body of the computer. Plug an HDMI monitor in, and then try to reach that button! Your fingers have to be contortionists! Even if the silly thing would just light up when you spin the computer like the rest of the lights..at least then it would be easy to find!
