I've been drafted in to help my sister move her contacts from a Motorola Razr XT910 to a new (arriving tomorrow) iPhone 5S and tbh I don't have a clue.
I've tried connecting the Moto to my rMBP and installed the MotoCast program which it seems to insist on but the Mac cannot seem to connect to the phone at all.

To be brutally honest I don't even know what to do even if I can get the thing to connect! I'm sure they won't use the same sim card so the old-fashioned way of transferring contacts is doomed.

Any *simple* way out of my predicament? Any suggestions welcomed
Thanks.

EDIT
I do have Windows 8.1 in Bootcamp and the phone does connect to that - sort of. I can at least view its contents in Windows.

So the contacts are saved to the phones memory? If she hasn't got a google account why has she even got a smartphone because she would'nt be able to download any apps from Google Play.

How did she get any apps from the playstore with no Google account? All it is is your gmail account.
She didnt use any apps?

No, she's old :) she didn't have any apps and she didn't have a gmail account.
She has now :)

I don't know where the contacts are stored. I haven't even seen the phone before
She didn't have a google account but now she has and we just synced to it :)

I presume I can just do the same tomorrow with the new phone? :roll eyes:
I hope it's that easy :)

Thanks for the help peeps!
