I would like to go back to Lion

Yes sure, many are without issues on the ML upgrade, but there are enough of us with issues to make it more worthwhile to go back to Lion until some more bugs are fixed. In fact, I have even done a clean install twice of ML.

Lion came preinstalled, I do not have a Lion DMG and it is no longer in the app store. How can I get it back?

the Lion DMG or it being in your purchased tab would be my only 2 suggestions, maybe apple will still sell you a usb drive with lion or the store might do it for you

Didn't purchase it as it was preinstalled, so somehow I have to get the DMG.

I suppose calling an Apple store is the only option...
