a tablet with similar specs to the MaBook, but maybe with an SSD drive. 10-inch screen would be great. Runs a modified SL to have some of the touch features of the iPhone/Touch, like the magnifying glass, scrolling etc, with at least 6 hours of battery life.

Don't care about any phone features. Would like to have some great tablet only apple original apps, though I don't have any ideas on them yet. Front facing camera would be cool, though it wouldn't stop me from buying it if it doesn't. A single doc connector with a cradle that has a left side support for landscape, why on earth would they put 2 doc connector ports, I find that rumour to be ridiculous. Virtual keyboard would be fine as I think most people can manage basic operations with 1 hand/thumbs, maybe have the keyboard be able to split in half to the edges of the screen to replicate the way we use iPhone/Touch and maybe some media buttons in the centre kinda like the 'Mobile Air Mouse' iPhone/Touch app.

At first I think it will be 1 single device rather than variations on screen size, though extra RAM and a bigger HardDrive possibly upgrading to SSD is the Apple way and something I expect.

I would like to see the tablet be more like a notebook than a large iPhone/Touch device. Where it would have USB, 'MagSafe', SuperDrive, headphone jacks and possibly SD card slot or firewire etc, rather than a dock connector. Possibly have the MagSafe have USB/Dock connector connectivity to sync to another computer, though wireless sync would be great (a feature that might also be coming in iPhone/Touch OS 4.0 that is rumoured to be coming out as well).

A MacBook $999 price wouldn't bother me too much, but cheaper is always preferable.

Anyway, these are just some thoughts I've been having and thought I would put them somewhere so that I can compare to what will actually be released on the 27th.

What about 3G? As other threads have discussed this, I believe the Tablet will certainly not have a "large iPhone" look. Same thing went for the iPhone, when many believed the iphone was basically an ipod with a keypad.

No need to put the OP down - it's fair enough to put down a guess on the tablet . Highlights the point about docking - we simply don't know how that's going to be handled.

Maybe the ATV turns into the dock? Having 2 dock connectors seems a simple, yet unelegant solution to the problem of wanting to dock in 2 orientations.
What is Apple doing about docking? Wireless syncing 802.11n Bonjour with Macs for iTunes?

Powered LightPeak would be useful to have asap. - why have USB, FW, minidisplayport, ethernet plug if you can have all that over one cable.

I totally agree with this, makes pretty good sense, though also having the dock have these connections for desktop use would be pretty cool.

The new displayport version seems to apparently have enough bandwidth to carry USB 2. We'll see but it's back compatible with all the cables which is useful. I guess well see. The industry might be misjudging where Intel and Apple are on Light Peak - at some point they could oll it out to Macs. As for iPhones etc - having the proprietary dock connector provides a lock in.

The tablet hardware drain decisions have been kept to Apple's chest. Only a few hours to find out.
