... to say thank you to Apple for finally putting the nail in the coffin of the freezing iMac's. Mine was a horrible freezer too and now its wonderful. I was running WoW in one space, iTunes watching Ratatoulli on another, iWeb and iPhoto on another, and Mail and Safari on the fourth while video conferencing on Skype with no hicups what so ever. This is exactly what I was expecting from Apple products (being a PC convert), high quality, high performance and high reliability. I understand that when there is any major change to hardware there will be issues "especially for early adopters like myself" this being one of them, and I am happy that its over with.

Thank you Apple for you hard work I am a very satisfied customer.

Good of you to post this.

I bet that most of the people who came on the forums and whined and barked at Apple won't be bothered to come here and do what you did.

Hmmm.... had I had a freezing brand new iMac, I'd be pissed off and "whining" a bit on the boards as well. Venting can be good for the soul. Had all those folks not been vocal, would Apple have ever really figured it out as quickly? Probably not.

Now, expecting those same folks to come back and applaud Apple for fixing a mistake is not completely reasonable. Sure, it's good form, good karma, whatever, but applauding a company for doing what they're supposed to do isn't really expected by me. I expect a company with a great track record of making great hardware and software to continue the mission. I'll do my congrats with my wallet when it comes time to buy yet another piece of apple gear.
