i7: If I wait till they ship before I order will I take longer to receive?

I have not yet ordered the i7 BTO iMac, and I was just wondering, do you think there only going to be a limited number of units shipped?
So if I order now I will be in line for the first shipment, whereas if I wait till they begin shipping to order (to see if the few problems are widespread) will I have to wait for another shipment a few weeks later?

There is no way to tell. It will be first-come first-served, so the earlier you order the better. Just my opinion.

Apple has told me there is already a high demand for the quad cores, so you will definitely have to wait for the people that ordered first. However, your guess on how much longer you have to wait is as good as anyones.

Remember ATI iMac in early 09? People who ordered it 6 weeks after the first ones got their weeks before the early orderers. Nobody knows yet though
