iBlacklist is out and I’m trying it out before I buy it; I’m currently using Kate to block SMS messages from popping up and it works fine and is simple to use but iBlacklist also allows you to block incoming calls which is something I really want since I don’t use my iPhone for calls. (I know its Phone but I have Verizon for that and I’m on a Pay-As-You Go plan so I don’t want to be charged a quarter for each call).

Anyway – I’m thinking too hard and confusing myself with this whole Blacklist/Whitelist thing – Lets say I have 30 names in my Address book, but I want to hide all SMSes and calls (theres an option to have the calls ring busy) – Do I have to add all of them to the blacklist? Couldn’t I just leave the Whitelist empty? I tried it myself but I still got an SMS, I’m not sure if that’s a limitation of the trail.

Essentially, what I want to do is have all SMSes hidden (the pop-up thing) and not allow anyone to call into me – regardless of whether they are on my contacts or not…

If you set active to White List (WL) and u leave it empty, it should block all incoming calls/sms, just define the call/sms settings.

There are limitations to the trial, im not aware of all of them, but i just tried it then, it only allows me to add 2 numbers to the whitelist

This is one of the apps i think im going to purchase, it seems to work well. It will be very handy to filter calls when im sleeping so i dont get woken up by unless calls. I like me sleep :)

Iblacklist not avaible through iTunes store ? Why ?

i've searched for iBlacklist in iTunes store, seems unavaible, any other software that we can buy through official store that filter calls ?
Thanks

Its not an App Store App, its only available through Cydia.

(As far as my original question, I got it answered - I can create a Whitelist with no names on it, and it will block everyone. One of the best Apps I've ever paid for!)

yeh its working very well for me too. Excellent app

Since iBlacklist there have been a few others pop up in cyndia, unsure which one is best. Im happy with iBlacklist though..

ok whats the difference between BlackList and WhiteList on here

Blacklist blocks the names you dont want, Whitelist allows the names you do.

I use a whitelist - I added my wife to it, so she's the only one who can send me a text and not have it filtered. Its essentially an easier way than adding everyone to the blacklist.

ok, so how does leaving the whitelist blank block everything?? And when you say "block", meaning not popping up but it still shows a missed call and sent sms??
