As if you needed more reasons to jailbreak....... and it works with iPhone4 on iOs 4.0.1. It's $12 with a trial period. Paid for itself with the one time it allowed me to sleep in today.

The program just works wonders for me - it blocked this telemarketer that's been calling for weeks, that is until I installed this program. They would have woken me up, but when I checked my phone later in the morning, I saw the little phone icon in the statusbar letting me know they had been blocked. Their call doesn't even show up in my recent/missed history, although it does appear in the iBlacklist history log. I have them set to "busy signal", which in my tests actually doesn't even connect the person's call. It immediately disconnects them, similar to when your phone has no service and drops the call. Calling from a landline may actually give them a busy signal though. The telemarketer didn't even get the satisfaction of knowing the phone rang and can't even leave a voicemail. :) You can also set it to instantly go to voicemail, instantly answer, or ignore (which lets it ring on their side (not on your side) - not sure if this eventually goes to voicemail - as I've not tested)

It even has wildcard blocking, meaning you can block 222-555-xxxx and nobody from that wildcard will be able to reach you - as telemarketers do have a string of numbers they can call from. To do the wildcard block, just enter a number in the format: 222555*

You can also setup blocks for restricted/blocked calls - to answer/busysignal/ignore/voicemail them. This also works with mms/sms. You can block mms/sms from certain users; even allows you to auto-reply with a custom message if you want.

I used this in the past on my 3G/3GS and had some trouble where it would block users not on my list. I was still able to see the blocked calls/sms, so it wasn't too bad. But their latest version hasn't let me down.

I used this on my 3GS and now on my 4. Its brilliant. Blocked so many annoying calls from ex's.

Telemarketers, bill collectors, crazy women, all things of the past! Just got iBlacklist up and running on my 4 and I love it just as much as I did with my previous iPhones. I had a lot of numbers in my old blacklist....time to start filling this one up too.

This thing is the only thing that makes my crazy family tolerable. :)

I about died when it stopped working when I upgraded my firmware, glad the new v. is available.

I can relate to this scenario, lol

are you using the full registered version?

when you turn on the blacklist ie active dos your springboard reload?

mine isn't and I seem to remember on my 3gs it did.

I'm on the registered paid version and no, it doesn't respring after changes are made

mine is not blocking texts :(

iOS 5.1.1 here.

It blocks texts but there are occasional springboard crashes and rare freezes that appear to be related to how iBlacklist interacts with Messages.

Something I have wondered about is whether this is unique to the Absinthe jailbreak of 5.1.1.

The flaw is not critical. It is a mild annoyance that is not severe enough to un-jailbreak or remove iBlacklist.

I had crashes too, what helped was disabling libstatusbar by renaming /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/libstatusbar.dylib into oldlibstatusbar.old or something like that.

This app is for me the reason to jailbreak, highly recommended :)

I'll think about that, thanks very much. Not quite sure I have the nerve but I'll think about that.

:)

If you have SBSettings installed you can disable libstatusbar via: SBSettings > More > MobileSubstrate Addons and switch libstatusbar to off.

I have an experience to share with you guys. Once I was in a remote place, my signal in my phone got jammed, i thought the problem would be with my service provider. After coming back home i gave black and blues to my customer care highlighting my issue. They pleaded me saying that the problem is not with them. Then i browsed through the search engine regarding my issue, i got a remedy for my cell phone, there i came to know the problem called signal jamming that is experienced in most cell phones. They have a product called cell phone jammer could be very useful to get rid of these problems. Check out the details here cell phone jammer and hope this information would be beneficial. Hope that u would pass this information to all your friends, so that they too would benefited, Stay safe, Cheers

I own iBlacklist and I wish it worked with intelliD. I have it set up so only people on my whitelist can actually call me. Sorry but 90% of phone #'s that I don't recognize is either spam or the wrong number.

IntelliD gives your phone caller ID. It would be nice if the missed call logs showed whose calling

Oh yeah. I had a pirated version of this app and it was awful. Got rid of it and paid for the actual license. If your going to use iBlacklist you aren't going to get the full effect wtih the pirated version.

In your opinion, which tweak is better, IntelliD or iBlacklist? Because of IntelliD can name almost all of my incoming calls for which are not saved in my phone, then I wouldn't need to straight up block them. But if it fails frequently then I would prefer to just block them all. Thanks in advance!
