So I bought a second iBook because I liked the G3 900 so much aaaand it's finally happened, the Curse of the Atrocious iBook Build Quality hit me, and the color flashing is happening on the new laptop. I'm going to open it up anyway, so I thought I'd ask. At least out of academic curiosity. Ideally in capacities larger than stock.

It would be the same process as soldering on a different CPU, GPU, etc. So, yes there is a way. You'd just need the parts and tools to do it.
