Hi,

I think I'm doing something dumb in iBooks Author, but I can't see what. I wonder whether one of you fine folks might be able to help me?

I have an iBook document (see test.iba.zip attached) - created straight from one of the ePub templates that comes with iBook Author. My problem is that I can't keep the headers with the paragraphs. That's to say, sometimes the paragraph is on page 2 while the header is at the bottom of page 1.

I expected the "Keep with following paragraph" option in the Header's paragraph style would do the trick but it doesn't seem to have any effect. (See screen shots from my iPhone)

Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated!

Thanks

Not familiar with this package, but when that happens in Word, the usual reason is that someone used one or more extra returns to create space between paragraphs (in this case between the heading and the first paragraph after it) instead of the Space Before or Space After setting in paragraph formatting. Word keeps the heading with the paragraph after it, which consists only of a return, and allows the "real" next paragraph to go onto the next page.

Could something similar be happening here?

If you press Shift+Command+I, you'll see that you have more paragraphs, not just one. I guess what you're searching is a line break (Shift+Enter). Should work similar to InDesign's hard and soft line breaks.
