iBooks flips pages when trying to select words

if a double tap a word to select and the try to include the previous or following word in the selection it inevitably flips to the next or previous page.

It doesn't matter if it's on top or bottom, it's driving me crazy because initially I thought I was just being careless while taping and holding but it is NOT that for sure.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm sorry, but I didn't find anything related to iBook specifically and I do think it's relevant, won't you?
