iBooks is blank/broken

Hi,

Since I've had my Mac mini (feb) iBooks has never worked. I open the app and it is just blank. Nothing. No store, no lists, no purchased items.
Apple support was no help, and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? iBooks runs fine on my iPhone and iPad.
