iBooks, stuck on chapter

everytime I open Clash of Kings on my iPad it opens on chapter 24. I'm in chapter 29 and have clearly moved passed 24. But whenever I restart iBooks and it reopens Clash of Kings it doesn't remember my previous place.

Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it.
