Just drag and drop your ePUB files into iTunes and they show up in the 'books' section. Easy!

(Dutch iTunes :p)

Fun.

My library's eBook loans are ePub. I have to convert them to .mobi for my Kindle, and it's not always a clean conversion.

Cool I have a bunch of technical books in ePub format. When I get home I'll get them loaded for my first sync on April 3rd.

Can you actually double click on them and open them up?

Nope, they don't open. It would be nice to have a preview, at least.

You can, however, edit their metadata (title, author, etc).

I tried converting some pdf's to ePub using Calibre. Let's just say the quality was less than stellar. I don't necessarily blame Calibre, more the differences between the pdf and ePub formats.

I just dragged all my ePubs into iTunes and it automatically added them and downloaded the "album artwork"

Where are you guys getting your ebooks from?

iTunes doesn't automatically download the album artwork, most likely the artwork came from your epub files.

You dropped your pubs into iTunes
Seriously, I just now noticed the "Books" column there.

Wah! I didn't get the artwork when I dragged them into iTunes.

You are right, the artwork was actually in the ePub file. When I dragged them in, iTunes said it was downloading album art so I assume that it will for books without artwork. I downloaded my ePubs from www.manybooks.net
