Still waiting for our 3G iPads and would not ask if I could do this myself. However, can anyone confirm if the book titled The Last Surgeon by Michael Palmer is in the iBookstore and for how much? My wife was looking at this book in one of our local bookstores the other day and I convinced her to hold off as I'm hoping it would be available for the iPad and would be her first book to read on the device. Thanks in advance for your help.

How about 'Howard's End' by E.M. Forster and '20,000 Leagues Under The Sea' by Jules Verne?

Those are amazing books and Stanza has it right now, but I'm wondering if iBookStore carries it.

Thanks in advance,
Rekhyt

What a crazy way to find out these answers. I'm also waiting for 3G and would like to know what's in the IBookstore in advance. Is there any way to find out what's available without actually having an IPad? After all, you don't need to own a Kindle to find out if a book is available for Kindle.

I was hoping that the iBookStore would have an online interface like the iTunes App Store, but currently I don't think they have implemented such features.

Perhaps when the total libraries become bigger.

It's available in French from the iBookstore (free), but you can also go to Project Gutenberg and download the English version epub. You have to use iTunes to get it into your iBook app, though.

(Howard's End is also available on PG)

Yes, but the low cost of the book along with the great features of iBookStore just makes it worth it to get Howard's End on it.

Thanks for the link though.

"You have to use iTunes to get it into your iBook app, though."

This means you can import your own books into iBookStore then?

Dang it, i've been so addicted to We Rule and forum browsing I keep forgetting to start the tedious process of converting my extensive ebook collection. Thanks for the reminder.
