They are all that way. Apple is overdoing its black t-shirts and glib delivery. They need to loosen-up. These videos are making the products appear sterile.

I like the guy that did the MobileMe/MacBook Air videos better. I agree that John's delivery is somewhat grating.

Then again, if you already know what the iPhone does, you're basically sitting through a 40 minute reading of what would otherwise be its product manual. Kind of hard to make that exciting.

I don't find him boring at all, as others have said, if you already know what he is talking about, then you would find the overall presentation boring, but I do not find him. But I do like the mobileMe guy better.

Are we sure this guy's name is John? The MacBook Air / Mobile Me guy introduces himself as John. I thought this guy was called Bob or something.

Call him whatever you like - I prefer: 'ewok'

I like the guy on the Japanese site better but I guess they are the same type. He just seems a bit more fun, maybe it's the language.

The name in itself is rather juvenile. Reminds me of that line from "You've Got Mail," about people using only first names.

I understand there is no need to give away the full name, but there is no need for any name at all.

If you pay attention to the videos, he only does one hand gesture: the slowly widening hands with a little thrust for emphasis.

After seeing that i hate the videos
