Have I missed something or do we not have a thread on iCal etc. yet?

iCal has been changed to look at lot more like the iPad version, two screens:

I've never been an iCal user so I wasn't sure whether we had this neat function already:

You basically enter an event in that format and iChat recognizes it.

And what I personally find very interesting is the new "Internet accounts" feature:

Saw iCal Pictures but I am interested in the Internet Accounts thing

ya the internet accounts thing is cool, for example i logged into youtube and it asked me if i wanted to add the account to my computer and it opened up system prefs. and set everything up for me!
 
Is it possible to permanently have the calendars list on the left of the screen like now, instead of having to click on calendar at the top and getting the pop over window
