Is there a way i can put iCal on the backround of my mac? I would like it to to remind me of meetings or things i need to do without having to open the app.

screen shot?

Why not take a screen shot ( command, shift, 4) and use that? you don't even have to convert the file to anything, it will use the .pdf just fine

Because A, it would look like crap. B, you can't change from day to week to month at all. And C, you can't view the details of items in your calendar. I think what this guy is looking for is a transparent calendar of some kind, not taking up the whole screen.

One program I can think of that does this is Rainlendar, which offers a month view and also shows appointments I believe. It only takes up a few inches of your screen, and can be transparent as well.

a) because Rainlendar isn't for mac? is it? I only see a windozze version when i google it, and when i look for it on version tracker. so please post a link for a mac version b/c I am interested in having it for myself.

b) I was thinking of offering the simplest way to answer the question.... what's wrong with that ??? just b/c it says newbie under my name doesn't mean much.. i just don't spend my day posting and posting i've been here since 2003, i read more than post... and i don't log in to just read.

simplest way.... that was all.... simple. how are we supposed to know if he wants another program to run? we're only left to assume he wants a background. if he doesn't want ical running... why then have something else running? and if it's if something else then please show me the Rainlendar link???
